2012 REVISED IMCA SPORTMOD ENGINE

   
With the new rules change, we had to make some updates to our existing engine package. We really like the new changes that IMCA has incorporated for 2012. This will make these engines more durable without much added cost to the overall package. With the way the rules are written these engines will be very close in power from all builders (if motor is truly legal). There are a few advantages that MRE has to offer that separates our SportMod engine from the competition. The quality of machining we offer is second to none!!!

We start with a brand new GM block and completely CNC machine it. This allows us to get the decks and bores of the block in the exact locations to create a higher quality built engine and MAKE MORE POWER. We valve job the cylinder heads in a NEWEN CNC machine. This machine is only found in high-end Sprint Cup and IndyCar race engine shops. This allows us to put the highest level of performance valve job in the heads and keep it LEGAL. Our valve train knowledge from building OPEN and USMTS Modified engines that turn RPM levels well beyond 9,000 has been applied to this application. We realize these engines will not be turning RPM levels like this but the knowledge we have gained from the years of this have went into camshaft design and other valve train components to make the engine RPM better and the end result will create faster acceleration while being more durable.

We are in the process of making a video of a SportMod engine build from start to finish. This will allow you to see all the machining, assembly, and some pulls on the dyno. This will let you know how serious we're taking this program. I will list the parts used below. NOTICE we don't use any Chinese parts in the engine (WE LIKE TO USE HIGH QUALITY PARTS IN ALL OF OUR ENGINES PLUS I SUPPORT THE AMERICAN ECONOMY TO KEEP AMERICAN PEOPLE WORKING!)
